IIT Delhi
I am a sustainability enthusiast and a faculty in the Department of Civil Engineering at Indian Institute of Technology Delhi. I completed my Ph.D. from IIT Bombay in the domain of sustainability assessment and benchmarking in the building sector through a systems thinking approach. I worked towards investigating the potential of computational models particularly system dynamics modelling and simulation to analyze and solve complex issues of sustainability.
My research lies at the intersection of sustainability, climate resilience, and infrastructure systems. I focus on developing and applying frameworks for life cycle assessment, system dynamics modeling, and embodied energy evaluation in the built environment. Key areas include climate-responsive and energy-efficient building design using digital twins and BIM, sustainable and affordable housing, low-carbon construction materials, and sustainability-driven project management. I also work on advancing public infrastructure through policy innovation, public-private partnerships (PPP), and data-informed decision-making.
I have worked in academia as an Assistant Professor in TERI SAS, New Delhi in the Department of Policy and Management studies and before that as an Assistant Professor in the Construction, Real estate and Infrastructure management specialization at NMIMS university. Prior to joining academia I worked in the construction industry for 5 years in Larsen and Toubro Construction as an Assistant Construction Manager at construction sites in Delhi and Gujarat. Worked with Planning, Scheduling, Contracts, Sub-contractor management, Quantity surveying and Procurement.
Certified LEED®Green Associate™ and Lean Six-Sigma Green Belt.
